Self-Paced Learning

Our suite of flexible, online training allows you to learn more about interpretation without a fixed schedule. Once purchased, these self-paced training modules are accessed through the Interpreters Learning Center (ILC). You will earn 5 continuing education hours for the completion of each course. The ILC will verify your completion and automatically record the hours on your NAI account.

Purchases of the self-paced training are non-refundable and non-transferable. Only the account where the digital content is purchased will have access to the item. Individual membership is required for member rates to apply.

Access Instructions

You can access the ILC by logging into your NAI account and clicking "Interpreters Learning Center" under the Professional Development tab. You will receive an email when the training is available in your Learning Center.

If you do not see your purchase in the ILC after 24 hours, please email a copy of your purchase receipt to [email protected].

Evaluating Your Interpretive Product
This course consisting of four modules will teach interpreters how to evaluate their interpretive product. Evaluation of an interpretive product is linked closely with the goals of that product. If the goal is the overarching “why,” “what,” or purpose of a piece of interpretation, the objectives are the more specific steps to take to reach that goal, and what we measure to see if the goal has been reached; in other words, the objectives are “how” we reach the goal.
